Koki Matsuda enters the second round of the Istanbul 2 Challenger holding the higher ranking near No. 478-514 with a stronger recent record of 40-21 over the past year, while Paul Inchauspe sits around No. 600-679 after advancing from his opening match against Petr Bar Biryukov. The pair meets for the first time on outdoor hard courts, where Matsuda has shown consistent results in recent challengers and qualifiers, including wins over Cem Ilkel. Inchauspe, a 22-year-old Frenchman transitioning from collegiate tennis at Princeton, brings a 6-5 frame and improving form but limited pro experience at this level. The hard surface and lack of head-to-head data leave room for either player to capitalize on serve and baseline consistency, with the match scheduled for Court A.
