Jiri Lehecka enters the third round of the 2026 National Bank Open as the No. 8 seed and world No. 12 against No. 32 Alexander Blockx on outdoor hard courts in Montreal. Lehecka’s stronger recent results, including a straight-sets second-round win, and greater Masters 1000 experience on the surface give him the edge in trader consensus. Blockx, a 21-year-old Belgian who reached a career-high ranking in July, brings aggressive baseline play and momentum from a strong 2026 season but faces a significant step up in competition. Their first meeting favors the Czech’s serve and return consistency in best-of-three sets.
