Andrej Martin faces Javier Barranco Cosano in the Prague Challenger qualifying round on clay, where both players enter on the back of straight-sets wins in the opening round—Martin over Boris Arias and Barranco Cosano over Matyas Kozlovsky. The Slovak veteran, ranked near 400, brings extensive clay-court experience and a strong recent record on the surface, while the Spaniard, ranked slightly lower after a career-high inside the top 220, relies on consistent baseline play and recent form in lower-tier events. Their first meeting features similar overall rankings and no significant injury concerns, leaving surface-specific fitness, serve effectiveness, and break-point conversion as the main variables that could shift the closely contested outcome.
