Jessica Pegula holds the edge in this Cincinnati Open quarterfinal on outdoor hard courts, backed by her No. 3 ranking, 40-11 record in 2026, and head-to-head lead that includes a 6-2, 7-6 victory over Anisimova in the Australian Open quarterfinals earlier this year. The 32-year-old former Cincinnati finalist has advanced steadily through the draw with efficient wins, while ninth-seeded Anisimova, ranked No. 10 with a 17-10 mark, has relied on powerful baseline aggression to reach the final eight after straight-sets victories over Sonmez and Eala. Both Americans are rested and healthy entering the match, though Pegula’s greater consistency and experience against elite competition shape the current trader consensus around her stronger positioning.
