This market will resolve according to the team that wins the 2027 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament (the national champion). If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to win the 2027 tournament (e.g., they are eliminated or fail to qualify), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If the 2027 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament is cancelled, postponed after April 19, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no champion declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The primary resolution source will be official information from the NCAA (https://www.ncaa.com); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Florida leads most preseason rankings and early championship odds entering the 2026-27 season thanks to a loaded returning frontcourt anchored by Rueben Chinyelu, Thomas Haugh, and Alex Condon plus key transfers. Duke, Illinois, UConn, and several others follow closely behind with strong returning cores, high-major additions via the transfer portal, and top recruiting classes. The market remains tightly bunched because NIL-driven roster mobility and frequent portal movement have created broad parity, allowing numerous programs to reload quickly with experienced talent. This depth, combined with typical variance in conference play and the NCAA Tournament, keeps implied probabilities clustered among a large group of realistic contenders rather than consolidating behind one or two teams.
