Trader consensus prices Rory McIlroy as a slim favorite at 16% implied probability to win the FedEx Cup Playoffs, edging Cameron Young (14.5%) and Scottie Scheffler (13%) in a tightly contested futures market reflecting the narrow gap atop regular-season FedExCup standings where Young leads, followed closely by Scheffler and Matt Fitzpatrick. McIlroy's edge stems from his multiple victories at playoff venues like TPC Southwind and East Lake, bolstering his starting strokes potential at the TOUR Championship despite ranking around 10th overall. Recent PGA Championship contention among top traders like Fitzpatrick and Collin Morikawa underscores the field's depth, with no dominant force emerging from 2026's signature events, keeping probabilities dispersed across a competitive top 30 and upset potential alive for mid-pack challengers like Si Woo Kim and Xander Schauffele.
