This market will resolve to "Yes" if it is officially announced that Fnatic will be, has been, or is being acquired by or merged with another entity by the listed date, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". Mergers or acquisitions involving Fnatic or a parent/subsidiary company will qualify. Fnatic ceasing to exist as an independent entity through merger, consolidation, or similar transaction will qualify. An announcement by Fnatic or its acquiring entity within this market's timeframe will qualify for a "Yes" resolution, regardless of whether or when the announced acquisition/merger actually occurs. Announcements of partial sales may count, as long as the acquiring company acquires a controlling interest in Fnatic. A "controlling interest" refers to a change in ownership sufficient to control the company's strategic decisions (typically more than 50% of equity, or equivalent control via voting and governance rights). Transactions or investments that do not result in a transfer of controlling interest will not count. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from Fnatic and the acquiring entity; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Fnatic, the long-standing UK esports organization competing in leagues such as the LEC and VCT, entered final-stage sale discussions in mid-2026 after outreach to investors and confirmed interest from European football clubs seeking minority stakes or full buyouts at roughly $100 million valuation. CEO Sam Mathews publicly acknowledged bids in late June but stressed ongoing investment talks rather than an imminent exit, while the organization simultaneously pursued a crowdfunding round following an earlier $10 million raise. No official announcement materialized by the July window, leaving September 1 as the next key resolution point amid league ownership rules that could complicate deals involving cross-team stakes. Trader pricing reflects uncertainty over timing and whether talks will yield a completed merger or acquisition.
