This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 Defensive Player of the Year award in the PLL. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by PLL rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 PLL season is cancelled, postponed after September 30, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the PLL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The tight clustering of implied probabilities around 47.5–48.5% for Gavin Adler, JT Giles-Harris, Ben Randall, AJ Mercurio, Matt Dunn, and Kenny Brower reflects a deep group of proven close defenders and LSMs whose 2026 trajectories remain difficult to separate early in the PLL season. Reigning 2025 winner Adler’s move from the Atlas to Philadelphia has reset expectations around his matchup dominance, while past recipients Giles-Harris (Denver) and Dunn (Maryland) plus emerging options like Randall and Mercurio bring comparable shutdown ability, positional versatility, and recent All-League nods. With limited sample size and no dominant statistical separation yet, trader consensus treats the field as highly interchangeable pending midseason injury reports, team defensive rankings, and head-to-head film.
