This market will resolve according to the listed country/region of the 2026 Pokémon VGC World Championship (Masters Division) champion. For the purposes of this market, "Europe" refers to any country within the Play! Pokémon Europe rating zone. If the champion's listed country is not the United States, Japan, or a country within the Play! Pokémon Europe rating zone, this market will resolve to "Other". In the event of a tie, this market will resolve in favor of the country/region of the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 Pokémon VGC World Championship is cancelled, postponed after September 13, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or if a champion has not been declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from The Pokémon Company International; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Japan's overwhelming market position stems from its unmatched depth in the Masters division, with the Japan Championship Series producing multiple top qualifiers who have dominated recent international events and adapted quickly to Regulation M-B. Historical results show Japanese players claiming the majority of recent VGC world titles, supported by consistent high placements at North American and Latin American internationals. Current top-cut performances by players such as Hiroshi Onishi reinforce this edge heading into the San Francisco finals bracket. Even at 95% implied probability, variance in best-of-three single-elimination play could allow a strong run from North American or European qualifiers if key Japanese matchups break unfavorably or if roster depth proves thinner than expected on day three.
