This market will resolve to "Yes" if any player records more than 1,964 receiving yards during the 2026-27 NFL regular season, thereby breaking the NFL single-season receiving yards record. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". The NFL single-season receiving yards record is 1,964, set by Calvin Johnson in 2012. Matching the record exactly will not be sufficient; a player must exceed 1,964 receiving yards for this market to resolve to "Yes". Only regular season games count. Playoff games, including Wild Card, Divisional, Conference Championship, and Pro Football Championship games, do not count. A player's total is the total he records across all of his 2026-27 NFL regular season games, including games played for more than one team. If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is shortened, truncated, or ends early for any reason, the outcome shall be determined using available official data for completed games. If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed after January 26, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or it cannot be determined whether any player exceeded 1,964 receiving yards within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "50-50". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The NFL single-season receiving yards record stands at 1,964, set by Calvin Johnson in 2012, with Cooper Kupp’s 1,947 in 2021 the closest approach since. No receiver has threatened it in recent campaigns, as 2025 leader Jaxon Smith-Njigba finished at 1,793 and Puka Nacua at 1,715. Entering the 2026 season, projections for top volume options like Nacua, Smith-Njigba, Ja’Marr Chase, and Justin Jefferson center on 1,200–1,450 yards, well short of the benchmark. Sustaining the required target share, yards per reception, and health across a full 17-game schedule remains rare even for elite wideouts, while defensive schemes, quarterback distribution, and injury risk further limit upside. Trader consensus at 80% for “No” aligns with this historical and current gap.
