South Africa holds a clear edge in trader consensus for the next Test in Johannesburg on September 5, reflecting the Springboks’ strong response after dropping the series opener. Siya Kolisi’s return as captain, combined with Cheslin Kolbe’s 18-point kicking display and three first-half tries, powered a 33-26 win in Cape Town that leveled the four-match series at 1-1. The back-to-back world champions dominated the contact area and breakdown while showing improved clinical edge and set-piece execution against a New Zealand side that outscored them on tries but struggled at the lineout. With the third Test at altitude in Soweto and the Springboks holding recent home dominance in the rivalry, market pricing aligns with their momentum and roster depth heading into the decider.
