This market will resolve according to the team winning 1st place at The International 2026 tournament, scheduled for August 13, 2026 - August 23, 2026. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve to the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If the winner of The International 2026 is not determined by September 6, 2026 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be official information from Dotabuff (https://www.dotabuff.com). However, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The 16-team field for The International 2026 in Shanghai remains unusually open, with trader consensus reflecting broad parity across direct invitees and recent regional qualifiers. European slots went to Team Spirit, TEAM VISION, Nigma Galaxy, and HULIGANI after a grueling double-elimination bracket that highlighted strong depth and momentum swings, while North America’s GamerLegion, Southeast Asia’s OG, South America’s LGD Gaming, and China’s Vici Gaming plus Team Resilience secured their spots in late June. Direct invite squads such as Aurora Gaming, Team Falcons, Team Liquid, 1w Team, Xtreme Gaming, Team Yandex, and BoomBoys enter with proven major results and roster stability, but no team has sustained dominant form across the EPT season. Patch cycles, potential meta adaptations before the August group stage, and regional travel factors further compress probabilities, producing the tight clustering around 50–52.5% as the wisdom of crowds prices in realistic upset paths and the absence of a clear preseason favorite.
