St. Louis City SC enters the September 17 US Open Cup semifinal at Dick's Sporting Goods Park on a 14-match MLS unbeaten streak, sitting fifth in the Western Conference with 41 points from 25 games and strong recent attacking output. Colorado Rapids, seventh with 35 points, show inconsistency (11 wins, 12 losses) despite home advantage in the cup tie. Key recent developments include St. Louis signing forward Rafael Navarro from Colorado, bolstering their attack, while both sides manage injury lists—Colorado without goalkeeper Zack Steffen and others, St. Louis missing Kyle Hiebert and Célio Pompeu. Prior meetings split evenly, but St. Louis's current form and depth give traders reason to favor them in outcome and total goals markets, with home momentum and cup progression stakes shaping the consensus.
