The Venezuelan Primera División's split Apertura-Clausura structure has produced a tight clean-sheet race, with several sides posting comparable defensive records through the first 18-20 matchweeks of 2026. Deportivo La Guaira and Portuguesa lead with 11 clean sheets each, followed closely by Metropolitanos and Carabobo on 10, while Deportivo Táchira and Academia Puerto Cabello sit just behind. Early Clausura results show La Guaira, Táchira, and Metropolitanos conceding at low rates amid strong starts, yet the absence of a dominant defensive unit, balanced scheduling, and typical mid-season roster adjustments keep implied probabilities clustered tightly around the top contenders. No widespread injury disruptions to key goalkeepers or backlines have emerged to shift the balance decisively.
