The WNBA's expanded 15-team league has produced a clear separation in the 2026 standings, with Minnesota Lynx (28-7) and Las Vegas Aces (24-11) already clinching postseason berths through dominant conference records and recent winning streaks. Golden State Valkyries sit second at 24-9, while Atlanta Dream, Indiana Fever, New York Liberty, Dallas Wings, and Washington Mystics occupy the middle pack fighting for the remaining six spots. The Mystics hold a six-game edge over ninth-place Portland Fire, making further movement dependent on the final 10-12 games per team. Official injury reports, back-to-backs, and home/road splits will shape late momentum, with the regular season concluding September 24 ahead of the eight-team bracket starting September 27. Trader consensus reflects the Lynx and Aces as near-locks while viewing the bottom four contenders as more fluid based on form and schedule difficulty.
