Marcelo Arévalo and Mate Pavić enter the National Bank Open semifinals as the clear favorites against Theo Arribagé and Albano Olivetti, reflecting their higher doubles rankings, strong 2026 form, and title-winning experience. The pair captured their first title of the season at Queen’s Club in June and advanced comfortably through the Montreal draw on hard courts, including a second-round win. Arribagé and Olivetti, a lower-ranked French duo, have produced an impressive run to the final four but lack comparable depth in big-match results or head-to-head history against top teams. The surface and stage favor the more seasoned pairing’s consistency in serving and net play, though any late injuries or fatigue from the ATP 1000 schedule could influence the outcome.
