Charles Broom enters the Roehampton 2 Challenger quarterfinal on hard courts with stronger recent momentum, winning nine of his last ten matches in straight sets while advancing through the draw. The 28-year-old Briton, ranked around 258-289 and seeded sixth, brings more established Challenger experience than 23-year-old Max Basing despite similar world rankings near 248-266. Basing, the top seed, posted solid wins over Deckers and Langmo but has compiled most of his success at lower ITF levels. Serve and return metrics show minimal separation, with Basing slightly more effective on returns and Broom holding up better on break points saved; the pair has no recent head-to-head history. Trader pricing reflects a near-even contest shaped by Broom’s current form edge and the home-soil Challenger setting.
