Algeria enters the AFCON 2027 qualifiers as the clear market leader in Group I at 56% implied probability, reflecting its superior squad depth, recent World Cup experience, and favorable opening fixtures including a home match against Zambia. The bunched pricing around 50% for several outcomes and lower figures for Zambia, Burundi, and Togo underscore the tight race, driven by the compact four-team format, home-and-away schedule across September, November, and March windows, and potential for upsets in physically demanding matches. No games have been played yet, so current trader consensus factors in historical head-to-head trends, travel demands, and the fact that strong starts can rapidly alter group standings.
