Incumbent Republican French Hill secured his party's nomination in the March 2026 primary and enters the November general election as the clear favorite in Arkansas's 2nd congressional district. The seat's R+8 partisan lean, combined with Hill's multiple terms, committee leadership role, and consistent fundraising edge, underpins trader consensus around an 87% Republican probability. Democratic nominee Chris Jones won his March primary but faces structural headwinds in a district that has favored Republicans by double digits in recent cycles. Forecasters rate the contest Solid or Safe Republican, with limited polling showing only modest movement. No major late developments—such as scandals, national wave shifts, or candidate withdrawals—have altered the positioning since the primaries concluded.

A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
