Caroline Elliott holds a commanding position in the British Columbia Conservative Party leadership contest because of her early entry, consistent emphasis on repealing the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act, and prior role in the 2024 merger talks that helped the party gain seats. Recent debates have highlighted her distinct stance against curriculum changes on gender and decolonization issues, reinforcing her appeal among members who prioritize these positions. Kerry-Lynne Findlay draws support from federal Conservative connections and MLA endorsements, while the remaining candidates trail due to narrower profiles or later starts. With ballots now mailed to roughly 42,000 members ahead of the May 30 vote, the current pricing reflects Elliott’s perceived advantage in consolidating grassroots backing during the final weeks of campaigning.
