Traders see a wide-open race for the Billboard Hot 100’s #2 spot the week of August 29, with Stella Lefty’s “Boston” holding the highest implied probability at 45.5% thanks to sustained radio gains, viral TikTok momentum, and consistent streaming that have kept the country-pop breakout in the top five for multiple weeks. Ariana Grande’s post-album tracks from *Petal*, released July 31, and country crossovers like Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” and Morgan Wallen’s “Been By Now” create tight competition, as historical patterns show new singles and genre blends can surge quickly on the chart. Taylor Swift’s earlier “I Knew It, I Knew You” momentum has cooled, leaving room for late-week streaming or airplay shifts to decide the outcome among closely matched contenders.
