Kimi Antonelli leads the 2026 drivers’ championship with a substantial points margin after multiple victories, poles, and consistent podium finishes in the early and mid-season races, positioning the Italian Mercedes driver as the clear favorite for his home Grand Prix at Monza. Recent form shows Antonelli adapting effectively to the new regulations and car characteristics, with Mercedes holding a competitive edge in qualifying pace and race pace despite occasional reliability setbacks. The clustered probabilities behind him reflect the tight battle among established frontrunners—Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri, Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc, George Russell, and Max Verstappen—whose teams have delivered strong results in recent grands prix but trail in the standings. Lower probabilities for midfield and backmarker drivers align with their limited points hauls and lack of recent podium contention.
