Spain enters the 2026 FIFA World Cup Group H as the clear leader in trader consensus, driven by its status as Euro 2024 champions, elite squad depth featuring established stars and emerging talents, and favorable early fixtures against Cape Verde and Saudi Arabia. Uruguay holds the next strongest position thanks to its CONMEBOL qualifying finish and historical pedigree, though recent international results show ongoing issues with scoring and consistency that temper expectations for a group upset. Saudi Arabia and Cape Verde trail significantly, reflecting limited depth and modest recent results against top competition, leaving them with slim paths to points in a group defined by Spain’s technical superiority and control. These factors align with the current implied probabilities, underscoring Spain’s projected dominance through the group stage.
