Paris Saint-Germain enter the 2026-27 Ligue 1 campaign as five-time defending champions and overwhelming title favorites, positioning them as near-certain qualifiers for the 2027-28 UEFA Champions League league phase. Contenders including Lens, Monaco, Lyon, and Marseille battle for the remaining top-four spots that deliver direct or playoff access. Pre-season results, such as Lens’s Trophée des Champions performance against PSG, squad depth after summer transfers, and fixture difficulty in the opening months shape early trader assessments. Monaco and Lyon carry moderate qualification probabilities around 23 percent per simulations, while Marseille must rebuild attacking options following key departures. The campaign’s 34-match schedule, with qualification determined by final standings, leaves ample room for momentum shifts driven by injuries, European commitments, or mid-season form changes.

Resolution is based on the competition to which the listed team is allocated by the final 2026-27 Ligue 1 standings, the 2026-27 domestic cup results, and the 2026-27 UEFA competition winners. A place obtained by playing and advancing through the UEFA qualifying rounds held after the domestic season does not count, and movement between competitions caused by those qualifying rounds has no bearing on resolution.
Once it becomes mathematically impossible for the listed team to earn a 2027-28 UEFA Champions League place by these routes, the associated market will immediately resolve to "No".
If the 2026-27 Ligue 1 season is cancelled or postponed past June 12, 2027, 11:59 PM ET such that the 2027-28 UEFA Champions League places cannot be determined, this market will resolve to "No".
The resolution source for this market will be official information from UEFA and/or Ligue 1; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
