Maryland's 4th congressional district maintains a pronounced Democratic tilt reflected in its D+39 partisan voter index, which underpins the overwhelming trader consensus favoring the Democratic nominee in the November 2026 general election. Incumbent Glenn Ivey secured renomination in the June 23 primary with more than 81 percent of the vote against multiple challengers, demonstrating consolidated party support ahead of the general election matchup against Republican George McDermott and Green Party candidate Sam Husseini. The district's consistent voting patterns and limited Republican infrastructure have produced minimal movement in recent weeks. Late developments capable of narrowing the margin would require an unprecedented national Republican surge or an unforeseen event affecting the incumbent's standing.

A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
