The Washington Nationals enter their series at Oracle Park with a 33-33 record, sitting near the NL Wild Card line, while the Giants stand at 27-39 and rank near the bottom of the NL. The Nationals rallied for a 4-3 win on June 8 behind late hitting from CJ Abrams and Daylen Lile, spoiling a strong start from Giants ace Logan Webb. Upcoming matchups feature Nationals left-hander Andrew Alvarez against Giants right-hander Adrian Houser on June 9, with potential continuation on June 10. Oracle Park’s pitcher-friendly dimensions and the Giants’ inconsistent offense under first-year manager Tony Vitello shape the contest, alongside both clubs’ recent form on the West Coast trip.
