Republican incumbent Brad Knott secured his party's nomination with nearly 90 percent in the March 2026 primary for North Carolina's 13th congressional district and faces Democrat Paul Barringer in the November general election. The seat carries a Republican lean on the current map, rated Solid R by nonpartisan analysts, after mid-decade redistricting shifted boundaries in the state's favor for the GOP. Knott's strong primary performance, combined with the district's partisan voting index and limited Democratic infrastructure in the area, has anchored trader consensus around an incumbent hold. No major late developments have altered the race's trajectory since the primaries concluded.
