**Multiple high-caliber quarterbacks across the Big Ten enter the 2026 season with comparable statistical profiles and supporting casts, producing tight implied probabilities clustered near 45-50% for the passing touchdowns leader.** Preseason rankings and 2025 production highlight Julian Sayin (Ohio State), Dante Moore (Oregon), and Jayden Maiava (USC) as frontrunners based on efficiency, volume, and weapons, while transfers such as Josh Hoover (Indiana), Demond Williams Jr. (Washington), and others add further parity. Early 2026 games show hot starts from several signal-callers amid favorable early schedules, but the conference’s depth, new offensive coordinators, and uncertain usage patterns prevent any single player from separating. This skin-in-the-game consensus reflects the inherent variability of passing production over a full slate of conference and non-conference matchups.
