Recent SRF polling and aligned DA internal surveys place the party near 43% support in Tshwane, positioning Cilliers Brink to target an outright majority or workable coalition without ANC involvement ahead of the November 4 local government elections. This momentum has lifted Brink slightly above other named contenders in trader pricing, even as the current ANC-ActionSA-EFF coalition governing under Nasiphi Moya shows fresh strains over the city manager and service delivery. Brink’s prior mayoral tenure and focus on revenue collection, infrastructure, and anti-corruption measures contrast with ongoing coalition frictions, while proportional representation rules and potential smaller-party alignments keep outcomes fluid. Further polling shifts, coalition fractures, or ward-level results could widen or close gaps before election night.
