Paul St-Pierre Plamondon leads the market at 64.5% as Parti Québécois leader ahead of the October 2026 Quebec general election, driven by consistent polling edges and seat projections that favor the PQ's efficiency in francophone ridings despite a tight popular vote. Recent surveys, including a May Liaison Strategies poll tying the PQ and Quebec Liberal Party near 32%, show the PQ maintaining an advantage in projections from models like 338Canada, which estimate a PQ majority. Charles Milliard at 22% reflects the Liberal challenge amid divided federalist support, while Christine Fréchette's 12% position follows her April CAQ leadership win but has produced only modest party recovery. Minor candidates trail as the race remains sensitive to turnout and late shifts in a fragmented field.
