Steven Horsford, the Democratic incumbent in Nevada’s 4th congressional district, faces Republican nominee Cody Whipple in the November 3, 2026 general election after winning an uncontested June primary. The district carries a modest Democratic lean reflected in its partisan voting index and 2024 presidential results, which has produced “Likely Democratic” ratings from nonpartisan forecasters including the Cook Political Report and Decision Desk HQ. Traders in the prediction market assign the Democratic Party an 87.5 percent implied probability of victory, consistent with the structural advantages of incumbency, established fundraising, and limited national Republican investment in the seat. Recent primary outcomes and the absence of major scandals or shifts in voter sentiment have reinforced this positioning ahead of the general election campaign.
