Recent polling averages place the Parti Québécois near 29 percent support ahead of the October 5 election, positioning it to win the most seats while remaining short of the 64-seat majority threshold. Aggregators project an average seat total in the low-to-mid 50s, with the highest probabilities concentrated below 55 due to numerous tight races against the Coalition Avenir Québec and modest Liberal gains in key ridings. Recent mid-September surveys from Léger, Nanos, Research Co., and others confirm stable PQ numbers alongside slight CAQ erosion and PLQ rebound, keeping the outcome in minority-government territory. Vote-efficiency challenges in swing districts and the short campaign window further cap upside potential for higher seat bands.
