The 2026 Pokémon VGC World Championships in San Francisco open with broad parity across regions, as strong Masters division contenders from multiple countries and zones have secured qualification through recent international championships and national circuits. Recent results, including Italy's Francesco Pio Pero claiming the 2026 NAIC title and consistent deep runs by Japanese and European players, underscore the absence of a single dominant region. The current meta under Regulation Set M-B, combined with open team lists and inherent variance in doubles formats, keeps outcomes unpredictable even among favorites. This competitive balance across Europe, North America, Japan, and other zones sustains tight implied probabilities, with no clear frontrunner emerging from the qualification path or recent form.
