Early in the 2026-27 Swiss Super League season, after eight matchdays, Lausanne-Sport and newly promoted Vaduz sit at the bottom with just six points each, while Grasshopper Club Zürich and Thun hover near the drop zone on seven and eight points. The league’s split format, dividing teams into championship and relegation groups after the initial phase, amplifies the importance of avoiding the lower half. Vaduz faces typical adaptation hurdles following promotion, Lausanne-Sport continues inconsistent results, and Grasshoppers remain vulnerable despite recent managerial changes. These early trends shape trader focus on which sides will occupy the bottom spots in the eventual relegation group and face direct demotion or playoff.
