Dan Patrick holds a strong 76.5% implied probability as the Republican incumbent seeking a fourth term in the November 3, 2026, Texas lieutenant governor election, reflecting Texas's consistent Republican advantage in statewide contests and his decisive primary win. Vikki Goodwin trails at 16% after securing the Democratic nomination in the May runoff, with limited crossover appeal in a state where no Democrat has won a statewide office in nearly three decades. Other candidates, including minor-party options, register around 50% amid low visibility. Recent August polling from sources like the University of Texas and Texas A&M shows Patrick leading or competitive with Goodwin, underscoring structural partisan leanings and incumbency advantages that shape trader consensus on the race outcome.
