Texas's 32nd congressional district was redrawn in 2025 as part of mid-decade redistricting, shifting it from a Democratic-leaning seat to one with a Republican partisan voting index around R+8 and making it an open race after incumbent Julie Johnson moved to another district. Republican nominee Jace Yarbrough, endorsed by President Trump and Governor Abbott, secured the nomination following a March primary and canceled runoff, while Democrat Dan Barrios won his party's primary and an independent candidate also filed. With the general election set for November 3, 2026, trader consensus reflected in the current odds aligns with the district's new composition and the absence of late-breaking developments that would alter the competitive landscape.
