**Lando Norris sits fourth in the 2026 drivers’ standings with two Grand Prix victories (Hungary and the Netherlands) from 12 rounds, trailing Mercedes-powered leader Kimi Antonelli by 83 points.** The 50% trader consensus on three or more wins reflects a balanced outlook shaped by McLaren’s recent upgrades, which delivered consecutive poles and victories on circuits suiting the MCL40’s high-speed strengths, yet persistent weaknesses in slow corners and drag-limited sectors limit consistency against Mercedes and Ferrari. New 2026 power-unit and aerodynamic regulations reset the competitive order, with McLaren facing reliability hurdles early and a wheelbase compromise that caps floor development until 2027. Antonelli, Russell, and Hamilton have dominated points, while Norris’s intra-team battle with Piastri and the need for rival DNFs or errors keep the path to additional wins competitive. Upcoming races at Monza and beyond will test whether further McLaren development can overcome these track-specific deficits or if Mercedes’ engine and overall package maintain the upper hand.
