Recent Valve updates added the reworked Cache to Counter-Strike 2’s casual, competitive, deathmatch, and retakes modes in late April 2026, preserving its classic layout while introducing Source 2 visuals and minor tweaks. The map stays outside the official Active Duty pool that defines Premier matchmaking and pro events, where Ancient, Anubis, Dust II, Inferno, Mirage, Nuke, and Overpass currently rotate. Traders focus on Valve’s pattern of aligning map-pool changes with new seasons and majors; integration is widely expected after the IEM Cologne Major, potentially displacing one existing map and shifting team meta around established sightlines and utility setups.
