Belgium enters the 2026 FIFA World Cup as the clear frontrunner in Group G, bolstered by a veteran squad featuring Kevin De Bruyne, Thibaut Courtois, Romelu Lukaku and Youri Tielemans under coach Rudi Garcia, along with a strong FIFA ranking and deeper talent pool than its rivals. Egypt sits second in market pricing thanks to Mohamed Salah’s attacking threat and organized counter-attacking style, though the Pharaohs lack Belgium’s overall depth. Iran and New Zealand trail as underdogs, with limited historical success advancing past the group stage and thinner rosters relative to European and African competition. Recent pre-tournament training sessions and final squad confirmations have reinforced trader views of Belgium’s edge, while Egypt’s potential to challenge in the opener against the Red Devils on June 15 remains the primary variable that could shift implied probabilities.
