Spain enters the 2026 FIFA World Cup as defending European champions with the strongest squad depth, possession-oriented style, and highest FIFA ranking among Group H sides, driving the overwhelming trader consensus for them to top the group. Uruguay sits as the clear secondary contender thanks to its experienced roster, physical midfield presence, and competitive recent form, though it trails Spain significantly in overall quality and consistency. Saudi Arabia and debutants Cape Verde remain longshots, limited by lower rankings, shallower squads, and less proven results against elite opposition in major tournaments. With group fixtures beginning June 15, no major injuries or roster changes have shifted sentiment in recent days, leaving Spain's implied probability elevated based on pre-tournament power rankings and historical performance gaps.
