Matej Dodig enters this Roland Garros qualifying opener on clay as the slightly higher-ranked player near world No. 200 with a career-high achieved earlier this spring. The 20-year-old Croatian has posted a solid 2026 win rate above 50 percent overall and shows comfort on the surface after recent Challenger results. Yi Zhou, ranked around No. 220 after his own career peak in April, is a 21-year-old Chinese right-hander whose recent form includes several losses that have limited momentum. With no prior head-to-head meetings and both players seeking main-draw entry, the encounter hinges on current form, clay-court movement, and first-round adaptation at the French Open qualifiers.
