Canada enters the 2026 IIHF Men's World Championship as the clear market leader thanks to an elite roster featuring Sidney Crosby, Connor McDavid, Nathan MacKinnon, and young captain Macklin Celebrini, giving them unmatched forward depth and experience after strong NHL seasons. Switzerland benefits from home-ice advantage in Zurich and a solid core including Nico Hischier and Roman Josi, while Finland relies on its trademark defensive structure despite the recent loss of Teuvo Teravainen to injury. Sweden's strong blue line and the United States' defending-champion pedigree keep them competitive, though Canada's overall talent edge drives the current trader consensus around a 50 percent implied probability for gold.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to win the 2026 IIHF World Championship per the rules of the tournament (e.g. they are eliminated in the knockout stages), the corresponding market will resolve to “No”.
If the 2026 IIHF World Championship is cancelled, postponed after June 14, 2026, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the IIHF World Championship tournament organizers (https://www.iihf.com/en/events/2026/wm); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
