Steph Curry’s strong public commitment to remaining with the Golden State Warriors has anchored trader consensus at a 97.8% implied probability for him staying put. The 38-year-old guard, entering the final year of his current deal worth roughly $62.6 million, has repeatedly described himself as a “lifer” with the franchise and stated that contract matters will not distract from on-court goals. Warriors general manager Mike Dunleavy has echoed this outlook, noting Curry’s desire to finish his career in one uniform while the team controls future draft assets and roster flexibility. Curry became extension-eligible in late August for a two-year maximum of about $136.7 million under the over-38 rule, yet both sides have signaled patience. A prolonged 2026-27 slump or unforeseen shift in priorities could open a narrow window for a trade or free-agency departure after the season, though current reporting shows no such momentum.
