The 2026 SEC rushing touchdowns race remains tightly bunched in trader pricing because the season is only in its opening week, leaving no established leader and exposing a deep pool of returning and transfer running backs. Preseason standouts such as Kewan Lacy (Ole Miss), who paced the conference in 2025 scores, Ahmad Hardy (Missouri), Jadan Baugh (Florida), DeSean Bishop (Tennessee), and Texas transfers Hollywood Smothers and Raleek Brown all enter with comparable workloads, offensive line support, and goal-line opportunities across contending teams. Shared backfields, injury risks, and shifting usage in a grueling schedule further flatten implied probabilities, as small early differences in touches or efficiency can alter the outcome over a full campaign.
