With the 2026 film season only beginning in August 2026, the market for the 2027 Oscars Best Supporting Actress winner sits wide open, reflected in the even spread of implied probabilities across dozens of names and the "Other" category. Anne Hathaway holds the highest named position at 42.5% market-implied odds, ahead of Penélope Cruz at 13%, as traders weigh early casting announcements and potential roles without any precursor awards, guild nominations, or festival screenings to anchor sentiment. The absence of 2026 releases means historical voting patterns and past supporting-actress trajectories serve as the primary guides until fall premieres and critical reception provide clearer signals.
