This market will resolve to "Yes" if any player records more than 1,964 receiving yards during the 2026-27 NFL regular season, thereby breaking the NFL single-season receiving yards record. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". The NFL single-season receiving yards record is 1,964, set by Calvin Johnson in 2012. Matching the record exactly will not be sufficient; a player must exceed 1,964 receiving yards for this market to resolve to "Yes". Only regular season games count. Playoff games, including Wild Card, Divisional, Conference Championship, and Pro Football Championship games, do not count. A player's total is the total he records across all of his 2026-27 NFL regular season games, including games played for more than one team. If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is shortened, truncated, or ends early for any reason, the outcome shall be determined using available official data for completed games. If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed after January 26, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or it cannot be determined whether any player exceeded 1,964 receiving yards within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "50-50". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.**The 80% implied probability on “No” reflects the extreme difficulty of surpassing Calvin Johnson’s 1,964-yard benchmark from the 2012 16-game season.** Recent high-water marks include Cooper Kupp’s 1,947 yards in 2021 and Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s 1,793 yards in 2025, while 2026 preseason projections for leaders such as Puka Nacua, Ja’Marr Chase, and Smith-Njigba cluster between roughly 1,200–1,450 yards. Key limiting factors include 17-game schedules, evolving defensive coverages, target distribution across multiple weapons, and injury risk that historically caps even elite wide receivers well short of the mark. Calvin Johnson has noted the record is likely to fall eventually—especially if the league expands to 18 games—but the current talent pool and situational context make a 2026 breakthrough improbable in the eyes of traders.
