The 2026 Demacia Cup Global Invitational features 12 non-Worlds teams from the LPL, LCK, LEC, LCS, LCP, and CBLOL in a hybrid format that begins with an online Swiss stage on October 3 and shifts to offline single-elimination in Beijing. Round 1 uses best-of-one matches, while all subsequent series employ Fearless Draft in best-of-three Swiss rounds and best-of-five knockouts. This system prohibits champion repeats within each series, compelling teams to expand their pools across multiple games and regions with distinct metas. The resulting volume of series, combined with the international field and longer knockout matches, directly shapes expectations for elevated total unique champion counts compared to standard single-region events.
