David Njoku's recent free agency agreement with the Los Angeles Chargers has anchored trader consensus for the 2026-27 NFL season. The veteran tight end, coming off nine seasons with the Cleveland Browns, finalized a one-year deal worth up to $8 million on May 11, directly positioning him on the Chargers roster ahead of training camp and preseason preparations. This development aligns with the team's need for a proven receiving option in the tight end room to complement quarterback Justin Herbert. While the implied probability exceeds 90 percent for Los Angeles, shifts could still arise from roster adjustments, contract restructurings, or unforeseen injury setbacks that prompt a midseason release or trade.
