White women voters remain closely divided ahead of the 2026 midterms, with recent generic ballot surveys showing narrow or shifting margins between the parties. Subgroup differences sustain the balance: college-educated and non-Christian white women lean Democratic in several polls, while white Christian and non-college women continue favoring Republicans at higher rates. Broader gender-gap trends and economic sentiment have produced modest Democratic edges among women overall, yet white registered voters as a group still tilt Republican. Trader consensus around even odds reflects this persistent split, uncertainty over turnout among moderate and independent white women, and limited major catalysts in recent weeks that could widen the gap before November.
