Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick’s late-April comments at the iicon conference have anchored trader sentiment, stressing that GTA 6’s price must feel “very reasonable” relative to its value and explicitly cooling speculation around a $100 base tag. Rockstar’s track record of launching at the prevailing AAA standard—most recently $70—combined with the absence of any official hike announcement, reinforces the market’s 90.5% “No” consensus. While some analysts float an $80 launch to preserve industry pricing norms, the firm has not signaled a departure from established console pricing. The upcoming May 21 earnings call remains the next potential catalyst that could either lock in a standard $70–$80 range or introduce limited-edition tiers without shifting the base-game outcome.
